Port grabbed a much-needed third win of the South Lancs/Cheshire Division Two season, despite going behind against Trentham.
The visitors on Saturday to the Whitby Sports and Social Club venue, who are currently propping up the division, broke the deadlock early on by going 7-0 ahead.
Port were also temporarily reduced to 12 men following a short-term injury to back-row James Shinton, while Simon Randall and Mike Padmore were sin-binned.
The hosts overcame these challenges with ease and reduced the deficit through fly-half Chris Carbutt, who scored two penalty kicks to make it 7-6.
Port then turned the game on its head as veteran forward Martin Titherington, fullback Anthony Jones and newcomer Rich McDonagh each powered over the line for a tries.
Carbutt continued to rack up the points with a conversion, a penalty and a drop goal to give the final scoreline a more one-sided look at 29-7.
